Located in Shirley, Croydon and near to Bromley, Picture Partnership is a professional photography studio specialising in capturing beautiful memories of your little one’s milestones. ​Our team is led by Caroline, a licentiate qualified baby photographer who specialises in capturing those delicate moments in a way that’s both artistic and natural.

From your baby’s first time lifting their head and sitting up on their own to celebrating their first birthday with a fun cake smash, our baby milestone and cake smash photoshoots capture timeless moments you’ll cherish forever.

Baby Milestones: Capturing Every Stage

First Session – 3-4 months old.

Each stage of your baby’s development is unique, and we love documenting these precious moments. At around 4 months old, babies are beginning to lift their heads during tummy time, showing their growing strength. These early milestones are the perfect time for a photoshoot as we capture those sweet, curious expressions.

Second Session – 7-9 months old.

As your baby grows, around 7-8 months, they often start sitting up on their own and may even begin to crawl. These sessions are filled with giggles and excitement as your little one explores the world around them. It’s an adorable age to capture their playful nature and infectious personality.

Third Session – 12-14 months old.

It’s a wonderful time to celebrate your baby’s first steps or commemorate their first birthday with a cake smash session. The joy on their face as they explore their cake or take their first steps is something to remember forever. Many of our clients also love adding a bath photo after the cake smash to capture those splashing, joyful moments.

Make it Yours:

We encourage clients to bring along personal items such as outfits and toys for each session. This allows us to personalise the experience and add special touches to the photos. With around an hour for each shoot, there’s plenty of time for different set-ups and backgrounds to ensure we capture all the fun and important moments. You can include Siblings, Grandparents, Mum, Dad and even the family pet!

Securing Your Photo Session

Booking your session is easy – simply place a £39 deposit to secure your spot in our studio, which can be done at the bottom of this page. This deposit goes towards your Baby Steps package of £99.

Additional print & digital options starting from just £79.  Each of your photo sessions will last around an hour, but sessions are never booked back to back so no need to feel rushed.

During your viewing appointment, you’ll have a stunning portfolio of professionally captured images to choose from. Whether you’re looking for bespoke wall art, fine art prints, custom albums, or digital collections, we offer a variety of ways to showcase your favourite moments.

While you’re welcome to purchase individual items, our value-packed packages – listed just below our gallery – make it easy to get the most from your session. We’re also happy to tailor packages to suit your space, style, and budget. There’s no pressure to decide until you’ve seen your images.

All purchased images include high-end digital retouching, handled in-house with care and attention to detail. We’ll always discuss your preferences with you beforehand to ensure the final result is just right.

The basic Baby Steps package is £99:

Including your three photo sessions and a beautiful keepsake folio including your favourite photo from each session, available in baby blue, baby pink or subtle silver. You can choose to add to your package after each of your photo sessions if you would like to.

How It Works:

Your Stress-Free Baby Steps Photoshoot Experience​

1 – Book Your First Photoshoot Date

You can use our online booking facility or give us a call at the studio on 020 8656 4024 to book your first Baby Steps session and secure your date in our diary.

​We require a non-refundable £39 deposit to book, which is deducted from your photo order. We will be in touch just before your session and if you’re not feeling well on the day, your deposit is transferable with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice needed.

2 – Pre-Consult:

We discuss your ideas and visions for your photoshoot, taking the time to understand your style preferences and planning any specific details you would like to incorporate into the shoot.

We offer flexibility by providing consultations in-person or over the phone, and for your convenience, we also send out a detailed questionnaire to ensure we capture your exact needs.

We will also ask if you are looking for wall art, albums, prints or digitals so we ensure we deliver you with the perfect set of photos to suit.

3 – Photoshoot Day!

On the day of your photoshoot, we want you to feel completely at ease. Our studio will be prepped according to the details discussed in your pre-consultation, creating a relaxed environment to capture your best moments. Once your session is over, you’ll have the chance to browse through a selection of frames, wall art, and other products in our studio. We’re happy to help you choose the best options that suit your style, space, and budget. 

We have free residential parking nearby and are conveniently located close to a bus stop, so getting here is a breeze.

4 – Choosing Your Photos: In-Person Viewing

We believe that in-person sales provide the best experience and allow us to guide you through the process of selecting your images and products. About a week later we invite you back to the studio for a viewing appointment, where we’ll present a curated gallery of around 20-50 images from your photoshoot, depending on your chosen service.

Our photographers will carefully select the best shots with examples of subtle retouching to ensure they look absolutely perfect. We’ll then create a slideshow for you to enjoy with a cuppa, as you decide on the images you’d like to order. 

5 – Payment Plans:

We strive to make the payment process as simple as possible. To help make it easier for you, we offer flexible payment plans so you can invest in the perfect collection of photographs without any added stress. Our clients typically spend between £250 and £2,000 depending on the products they choose.

6 – Order Collection:

Once your order is ready, it’s time to celebrate! We invite you to book a collection appointment with your photographer to ensure your experience with us remains personal and enjoyable. We’ll be there to answer any questions and ensure that every detail is just right. We love seeing happy clients and are excited to welcome you back in the future, whether for a family session, another milestone, or simply to update your wall art.
